Paul S. Krantz, Jr., professional sailor and author of Riding The Wild Ocean, will visit Welles-Turner Memorial Library, Glastonbury, on Sunday, February 8 for a book talk and signing at 2PM in the Friends’ Room.
At three years of age, Paul Krantz began sailing with his father; at fifteen, he started to teach sailing and canoeing, and by the time he was nineteen, he was a professional sailor and captain of a 41-foot ketch. Riding the Wild Ocean is a compilation of his adventures over the years, all in boats under twenty feet long, taking us on a wild ride from coastal New England to the Dry Tortugas.
Copies of Riding The Wild Ocean are available for purchase in advance, price $20. Contact Judy Kissane at judykissane@gmail.com for more details.
Admission to the book talk is free and open to the public.
